Airline A leverages on AFOOFA's travel technology expertise to expand its business beyond the scope of air travel yet not compromising on its core competency - budget TRAVEL business.

For a start, Airline A deploys the Hotel Booking Engine (HotelBE) to enable its online customers to make real-time room booking with instant confirmation. This adds convenience to customers as they need not search elsewhere for hotel rooms after making flights booking.

To support this revenue-generating convenience, Airline A's procurement team contracts hotels at all its destination points and loads the contracted inventories and rates on the Hotel Distribution Management System (HDMS). For ease of operation, Airline A issues login IDs to its contracted hotel partners to update inventories and room costs on the system.


To optimize the use of its flight and hotel inventories, Airline A employs the Dynamic Packaging Solution (DPS) strategy. The DPS allows its online customers the flexibility of choosing their preferred travel package based on their own travel budgets. On the other hand, the customers can also book pre-defined promo packages, which is usually priced at a lower rate.

Supporting this super revenue generator is unbelievably simple. Airline A's procurement team will just need to allocate inventories available for travel packages, define the travel packages and perform suitable markups on the Package Distribution Management System (PDMS).
